With full work schedules, these Phoenix, Arizona, homeowners desired a live-in kitchen where they could easily gather and prepare meals to avoid relying on take out. They wanted to make weekend entertaining a snap to prepare and enjoy sharing with family and friends. Now a custom island provides ample prep space, a breakfast bar for casual dining, a work spot for their college son and his laptop, and a spread to serve guests buffet style. Above, a pot rack with lighting keeps pans within reach. Frameless cabinetry maximizes storage and features a curved cabinet end for housing spices and such. A corner desk works overtime as a household planning post, message center, and computer station. The new bay window supplies abundant natural light and views to the pool and water feature.
