This kitchen remodel by designer Tim Dopson of Complete Kitchen & Bath Inc. is perfectly suited for the lifestyle of its New Hampshire family. After he removed walls and created nooks and crannies, Dopson put each and every square foot to use to help the daily lives of this family of four to flow smoothly. He devised a more open concept with the adjacent dining area and incorporated a functional phone booth into the design.
For quick family meals and entertaining, Dopson created a large breakfast bar. Just above, a soffit hides the new support beam, and the end corner walls create the structure for the phone booth, which boasts a butcher block corner seat and a door-activated interior light. Locker space for the two children provides a special place for stashing coats, shoes, and school backpacks.
The main kitchen and breakfast bar feature light maple cabinets with black granite countertops. The island, also in black, boasts a maple butcher block top.
