This California kitchen was in need of a total remodel—no simple face-lift would do. To get the area in shape and ready for the homeowners, Micky Yannay of Designer Kitchens LA planned the design with the utmost care and creativity.
The most daunting challenge in the existing traditional space was to transform it into a completely seamless modern design. The very contemporary look of the Pedini Italian cabinetry provided the perfect launching point. And the rest came together beautifully.
A bevy of storage solutions and a variety of accessories and hardware keep all utensils, whether large or small, in perfect order. High on storage, the space also is tall on stylish convenience, including its handsome Blumotion easy-gliding, self-closing drawers. The countertop material chosen was CeasarStone quartz—versus granite—because it is durable and nonporous. It’s also scratch-, chemical-, crack-, stain-, and heat-resistant but still has the aesthetic beauty of granite.
The light-colored travertine flooring offsets the dark cabinetry to create a dynamic look. The combination of gray glass, gray oak, and white lacquered cabinetry provides a stunningly sleek look. Double ovens are the perfect addition to these homeowners’ lifestyle, ideal for entertaining or an intimate meal for two.
